A man is facing life in prison without the possibility of parole after being convicted of murdering women two women whose bodies were found in Ventura and Kern Counties decades ago.

DNA evidence led to the arrest of William Chouest for the 1980 slayings. Prosecutors say Chouest killed a woman whose body was found near Delano. Three days later, the body of a second victim, a woman who was pregnant, was found in Westlake Village.

The now 66 year old man was already in jail for rape, kidnapping and robbery convictions at the time of his 2015 arrest for the murders.
