More record to near record heat is in the forecast for the Central and South Coasts.
The heat wave and wind are expected to peak Wednesday, with a gradual cooling trend starting Thursday.
The big news is while the heat will be with us, it’s expected the Santa Ana winds will decrease as we move through the day, and we could even see the marine layer start to return to the coastline Wednesday night.
It was another all time record setting day Tuesday for some communities in the region, with Oxnard hitting 100, and San Luis Obispo tying the high temperature in the nation, reaching 108 degrees at the airport.
