A Great White Shark sighting off the South Coast has prompted a warning to visitors at some beaches in the region.

The six to eight foot long shark was spotted off of the Ventura Pier Sunday afternoon. Ventura Police say the shark didn’t display any aggressive behavior, but the sighting still prompted the posting of warning signs on beaches near the pier.
