Strong Voter Turnout Being Reported On Central, South Coasts

More than 830,000 people are registered to vote on the Central and South Coasts

It’s been a busy day at polls on the Central and South Coasts, with more than 830,000 people registered to vote in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties.

More than 442,000 people are registered to vote in Ventura County, 222,000 in Santa Barbara County, and 168,000 in San Luis Obispo County.  Upwards of 50% of those voters requested main-in ballots, which means it could be days before we have final results in some tight local races, and measures.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports from a polling place in Ventura County.
