A Central Coast man reported finding his brother had been attacked in the family’s home, but after an investigation was arrested for his brother’s murder.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 4300 block of West Ocean Avenue in the unincorporated area of Lompoc Sunday afternoon. Deputies say Arturo Herrera reported he discovered his younger brother, Enrique, had been attacked. The 28 year old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives launched an investigation, and it led to them identifying the older brother as the suspect on the killing. The 30 year old man was arrested on a murder charge.
