KCLU's Caroline Feraday wins two 2025 LA Press Club Awards

KCLU Senior Reporter Caroline Feraday has won two first-place awards at the Los Angeles Press Club’s 67th Annual Southern California Journalism Awards.
Caroline won the award for Best Audio Breaking News for Mark and Jacob Iskander's Killer Sentenced For Murder, her story wrapping up her years of coverage of the high-profile Westlake Village double murder case.
The judges noted Caroline’s powerful storytelling and her effort to capture the perspectives of everyone involved.
She also won Best Audio Entertainment Reporting for the story Unique Combination of Dancing and Disability Is Inspiring The Next Generation.
The story was about a show for kids at the Santa Barbara Bowl that showcased dancers of all abilities, including those using wheelchairs. The judges noted her use of sound and her inclusion of diverse voices in the piece.
Caroline also placed second in four categories, including Audio Journalist of the Year—an award she won three consecutive times from 2022 to 2024.
The Los Angeles Press Club honors the work of journalists in every facet of the industry. It has nearly 1,000 members in Southern California.
