295 New COVID-19 Cases Reported On Central, South Coasts Wednesday; Death Toll Increases By 21

The daily total of new COVID-19 cases on the Central and South Coasts remains on the low side, but the latest death count is high.

295 new positive cases of the virus were reported in the region Wednesday.

The numbers include 179 cases in Ventura County, 78 in Santa Barbara County and 38 in San Luis Obispo County.  The number of cases in the Tri-Counties since the beginning of the pandemic now surpasses the 126,000 mark.

21 additional deaths were reported locally Wednesday, with 16 in Ventura County and five in Santa Barbara County.  It moves the overall total to 1358 COVID-19 related deaths in the three counties.
