Santa Barbara County Arts Organization Pulls Plug On Big 2021 Events Schedule Due To Pandemic

One of the South Coast’s leading arts organizations has announced that given the state of the pandemic, it’s going to cancel all of the in-person events it had planned for early next year.

UC Santa Barbara’s Arts and Lectures had hoped the crisis would have eased to the point that it could have resumed offering live performances and lectures beginning in February.

But because of the current situation and the outlook for the next few months, the non-profit arts group has cancelled all of its planned in-person event from February through May.

The lineup included the Joffrey Ballet, the Silk Road Ensemble, and cellist Yo-Yo Ma.  Arts And Lectures is offering ticketholders different options ranging from donating the balance to the organization to getting refunds.
