Despite the ongoing coronavirus crisis, unemployment numbers are showing big improvement for the state, as well as for the Central and South Coasts.
Just released figures show that that the jobless rate in Ventura County went from 13.7% in May to 12.6% in June.
Santa Barbara County also showed major improvement, with the unemployment rate going from 12.9% in May to 11.6% in June.
San Luis Obispo County also saw a big jobless drop with the percentage of people out of work moving from 12.9% in May to 11.5% in June.
There was a huge improvement in the statewide unemployment rate. It went from 16.4% in May, to 14.9% in June. Still, the jobless rate is nearly 11% higher than it was in June of last year, when it was at 4%.
