A new season of lectures is open to over 50s at Cal Lutheran

University lectures but without the pressure of being graded – that’s the idea behind a new season of learning for those aged over 50.

From Cyberterrorism to Classic Christmas Songs, the lecture series, which is held over Zoom, presents a diverse range of interests.

"We try to offer courses related to history, sometimes architecture, science, music, art history, political science, and I do believe with our fabulous fall lecture series, we have manage to hit every single one of those subject matters," said Dr Lisa Buono - the Dean of the School for Professional and Continuing Studies, at Cal Lutheran.

The Cal Lutheran program – called Fifty and Better - is aimed at over 50s.

She points out that there's no homework and no pressure of tests.

"It's literally learning and absorbing knowledge because you want to," said Bueno.

Cal Lutheran is the parent of KCLU.
