Employers across the Central and South Coast are recruiting, and the Postal Service has a high number of job vacancies.
Over 50 jobs with USPS need to be filled in Oxnard, says A’shai Hodge, the recruiter for the positions.
"Due to COVID, we have a lot of the workforce out, so that's adding to why we have so many jobs available," she told KCLU.
She said the 50 jobs include City Carrier positions as well as Mail Handler positions, and more.
Applicants must be 18 years or older. All applicants must be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Some positions require an exam. Any position that has a driving requirement will also require a valid driver license and clean DMV two-year driving history. Citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
A free walk-in job fair is being held at Oxnard Post Office, 1961 North C Street, Oxnard on Saturday March 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
At the job fair, assistance will be given to help attendees create an employment profile and immediately apply for jobs.
