Browsing and borrowing books at the library could be easier than ever for some users in Santa Barbara County.

A new online catalog has been launched at Goleta and Santa Ynez Valley Libraries.

It’s now just the touch of a button to search, browse and borrow a book from Goleta and Santa Ynez Valley Libraries, thanks to their new online catalog – says Allison Gray, Director of the libraries.

Gray says that one of the biggest improvements is that the library’s entire collection is now conveniently available in one place, including all physical items such as books and DVDs, as well as digital titles such as eBooks and downloadable movies.

Digital titles can now be borrowed directly through the catalog with the simple press of a button, so patrons no longer need to log into a separate site to manage their monthly digital borrows.

And best of all – you can do it from home, so you don’t even have to speak in a whisper…
