South Coast Music Festival Returns For Vaccinated Ticketholders

If you have missed going to see live music over the past year, there’s good news for you – as one of the South Coast’s most popular music festivals is returning for an in-person event.

Last year’s Ventura Music Festival was on-line and – as organizer Susan Scott says – that was something, but just not the same as being in person.

This year – three live in-person concerts are lined up for July for the festival – with ticketholders having to show vaccination proof.

"They can simply upload the proof for whomever they're buying for," Scott told KCLU. She reassured that help is on hand by phone for anyone who has difficultly uploading the information.

"We are very happy that we are able to present live," said Scott. She explained that they had difficulty finding the right venue for the event, but finally did and are able to welcome "a wonderful line-up."

More information on the festival can be found here.

Caroline joined KCLU in October 2020. She won LA Press Club's Audio Journalist of the Year Award for three consecutive years in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Since joining the station she's also won 12 Golden Mike Awards, 8 Los Angeles Press Club Journalism Awards, 4 National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards and three Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for Excellence in Writing, Diversity and Use of Sound.

She started her broadcasting career in the UK, in both radio and television for BBC News, 95.8 Capital FM and Sky News and was awarded by Prince Philip for her services to radio and journalism in 2007.

She has lived in California for 13 years and is both an American and British citizen and a very proud mom to her daughter, Elsie.
