Black Friday Shoppers On Central And South Coasts Encouraged To Buy Local

City Of Goleta

Ordinarily, stores would be gearing up for Black Friday later this week – the post-Thanksgiving shopping frenzy which has become as much a holiday tradition as turkey itself.

But this year, with Covid rates rising, stores in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties are concerned they will miss out on the much needed boost as shoppers look on-line for discounted goods.

Black Friday is the shopping event of the year. With lowered prices and thousands of buyers on the lookout for a sale ticket, millions of dollars are usually spent.

But with COVID cases rising, local businesses on the Central and South Coasts are concerned they’ll miss out on the boost to their businesses, as folks turn to big on-line shopping brands.
