Feel The Need To Read During Quarantine? Santa Barbara Public Library Now Delivers

The Santa Barbara Library is writing a new book for itself as coronavirus impacts its services.

The doors to the library are closed, but some staff still remain on duty to handle shipping books out.

The library is taking requests online from those with library cards. The library staff then packages the requested books and sends them to patrons via mail, at an average cost of $4.50.

That price in turn is being paid for by the Santa Barbara Public Library Foundation.

Books can be sent out to the service area which includes Carpinteria, Montecito, and Santa Barbara.

The library says that patrons can return the books once it reopens.
