Number Of Diagnosed Coronavirus Cases On Central, South Coasts Approaching 300

The number of people testing positive for coronavirus on the Central and South Coasts is nearing 300.

There are now 287 confirmed cases, with four deaths.  Ventura County has 126 cases, Santa Barbara County 88 and San Luis Obispo County 77.

Santa Barbara County’s total jumped by 20 Monday.  Santa Barbara County Public Health Officer Dr. Henning Ansorg says they knew the numbers would be jumping, and what they thought would happen did happen.

All four deaths in the region occurred in Ventura County, and involved victims in their 70’s and 80’s.
