Shooting Spree At Bar In Ventura County; 11 Reported Hurt, Some Dead

UPDATE: The revised figures indicate that 21 people have been wounded, with 13 confirmed dead, including the gunman. The idenitity of the shooter has been confirmed as 28-year-old Ian David Long.

A Wednesday night attack at a Ventura County bar has left 11 people hurt, with some dead.

Shooting was reported inside of the Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousands Oaks shortly after 11 p.m.

Ventura County Sheriff's deputies arriving at the scene reported hearing gunfire, and a deputy is among those hurt.

Authorities aren't reporting the extent of the injuries at this point, but some fatalities have been confirmed.

Borderline is known primarily as a country music bar, but Wednesday night was one of its popular college nights, where they would play contemporary music.

Deputies say the incident has been confined to the building, so they aren't looking for a possible gunman fleeing the facility.  There's no word on whether they have anyone in custody.
