Death Of Adopted Dog Leads To Animal Cruelty Arrest On South Coast

A 21 year old Goleta man who adopted a Chihuahua in April has been arrested in connection with the dog's death.

Kyle Barbre was booked on suspicion of animal cruelty.

The sheriff's department received a tip and conducted a necropsy on the dog.

Based on the evidence they found, they arrested Barbre for the fatality.

Barbre was booked into custody on Tuesday. Bail was set at $100,000.
