Las Posadas, a Christmas season tradition dating to 16th-century Mexico, commemorates the journey Joseph and Mary made from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a safe refuge for Mary to give birth to Jesus. This event will include a reenactment in which students portraying Mary and Joseph will travel by donkey through campus looking for shelter. Their journey will begin and end in Kingsmen Park. The event will include a piñata, raffle and refreshments.
