Corvids of Santa Ynez Valley--Lecture
Guest speaker Dennis & Jess Beebe will present a lecture on Corvids of Santa Ynez Valley
Dennis and Jess will highlight the natural history of five species of corvids found in the Santa Ynez Valley: American Crows, Common Ravens, Yellow-Billed Magpies, California Scrub Jays, and Stellar’s Jays. The program will include an entertaining and interactive introduction while examining aspects of these birds that continue to fascinate us.

Dennis Beebe
Dennis had two professional careers: one as an Air Force officer, and the second as an aerospace management consultant. Dennis is now retired and works part time for the University of California Sedgwick Reserve where he also serves as a docent. He also serves as a docent with the non-profit NatureTrack and is on the board of directors of the Santa Ynez Valley Natural History Society.
Jess Beebe
Jess Beebe is an accomplished graphic artist, self-taught computer expert, and birder extraordinaire. Jess frequently is recruited by her father to assist in developing PowerPoint lectures, and handling computer-related challenges during presentations. Jess also volunteers with her father in the service of non-profit and other community organizations in the Santa Ynez Valley.
