A one-day event in Oxnard will celebrate Japanese pop culture, anime, and gaming.
IchigoCon attracts nearly 2,000 visitors.
"It's a one-of-a-kind event in the city where we have hundreds of anime lovers, cosplayers, and gaming fanatics showing up at one place at one time," explained Christian Ramirez with the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.
"The cool thing about anime is that the age (range) is very wide. You have everything from parents coming with their eight- and nine-year-old kids, to people in their forties and fifties. People come from all over to be a part of this."
IchigoCon is Saturday, August 16 at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center. The event is open to all ages.
