Despite their name, red pandas are not closely related to giant pandas; they're more akin to raccoons. They are endangered due to habitat loss, with fewer than 10,000 estimated left in the wild.

Ruby arrived from the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester, New Yok, as part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Species Survival Plan.

It’s been recommended that Ruby breed with the zoo’s male red panda, Raj, who hasn't even bought her dinner yet!
