A man wanted for a recent murder in Ventura County has been tracked down and arrested in Mexico.

Ventura County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home on the outskirts of Santa Paula Saturday night by reports of a possible homicide. They found the body of Carolyn Nino De Rivera inside.

Detectives identified Christian Hillairet of Santa Paula as a suspect. They learned that he crossed into Mexico on Sunday morning. He was located and arrested in Rosarito, Baja California, on Monday. Authorities are working on bringing the 24-year-old man back to the U.S. to face charges.

Investigators aren't talking about what they think led to the murder of the 26-year-old Ojai woman.
