The Flamenco Arts Festival is set to return for the 24th time to Santa Barbara.
"It's a very passionate art form," explained the festival’s organizer – who goes by the mononym Vibiana.
The festival is set to bring world-renowned flamenco artists from Spain and the U.S.to Santa Barbara and she says it feels good to be back.
"There's a very long tradition of flamenco in Santa Barbara. It's been close to four years of being in a pandemic hiatus," said Vibiana.
The festival will kick off with a music concert in May with maestro Jose Luis de la Paz followed by a dance performance in August with Alfonso Losa Flamenco, she said.
The Flamenco Arts Festival starts Saturday May 6 at 7.30 p.m. the New Vic in Santa Barbara.
