A search is underway for a man reported to be missing in a water basin on the Central Coast.
Authorities received a call just after 12 a.m. Wednesday morning about a man believed to have disappeared in the basin near North Blosser Road, and Canal Street in Santa Maria.
Santa Barbara County firefighters used inflatable boats to search the basin.
They say they found a piece of clothing believed to have belonged to the man, but there’s no sign of the missing person.
