10th Annual Santa Barbara County Veterans Stand Down event set for Santa Maria Fairpark Saturday.

Homeless veterans on the Central and South Coasts can get a helping hand this weekend.

The 10th annual Santa Barbara County Veterans Stand Down event will take place on Saturday. The event at the Santa Maria Fairpark is intended to help homeless or at-risk veterans, as well legal spouses and dependent children under 18.

People will be able to access social and medical services, pick up things like free clothing, and get assistance with finding housing.

It will take place from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday. There’s free shuttle service throughout the Central and South Coasts taking people to the event, with pickup points from Santa Barbara to San Luis Obispo.
