Santa Barbara Sky Football Club will field men's, women's teams beginning in 2024

Professional soccer is coming to the Tri-Counties.

The Santa Barbara Sky Football Club is scheduled to start play in 2024, in the United Soccer League. The team was officially accepted into the league this week. Montecito businessman Peter Moore is the team’s founding investor.

Sky FC will have men’s and women’s teams in the league, which has about 150 clubs.

It will play its home matches at Santa Barbara City College’s La Playa Stadium.
