Santa Barbara County Man Reported Missing

Cell phone records show he might be in region

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in trying to find a missing Santa Barbara County man who disappeared more than a week ago.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s detectives say John Fuegos left Lompoc May 24th on a motorcycle for a trip to Arizona. Family members report that a day later, he sent text messages saying he was returning home. But, the 50-year-old man hasn’t been heard from since.

Cell phone records say he may have been in Ventura May 25th, and on Toro Canyon Road near Montecito on Wednesday of this week. But ground, and air searches failed to turn up any sign of Fuegos or his motorcycle.
