Man Fatally Wounded In Car On Central Coast

Dies later at hospital

Authorities are trying to figure out what led to the fatal shooting of a man in a car on the Central Coast.

It happened at around 5:30 Thursday night in Lompoc. Police were called to the 600 block of West Maple Avenue by reports of gunfire.

They found a 28-year-old man in a car with multiple gunshot wounds. He died a short time later at a hospital. Investigators aren’t talking about what they think the motive was for the attack. The name of the victim hasn’t been released.
