Pair Of Storm Systems Expected On South Coast Wednesday; So Far, No Flood Watches

Two storm systems are headed towards the Central and South Coasts, and they are expected to merge as they move through the region mid-week. But, there are questions over whether there will be serious problems for brush fire burn areas.

The rainfall is expected to start on the Central Coast tomorrow morning, and spread into Ventura County possibly as early as tomorrow afternoon.

Meteorologists say we could see between three quarters of an inch to two inches of rainfall, but at this point they are holding off on issuing flash flood watches for burn zones on the South Coasts.

They say the wild card is whether we’ll see instability and thunderstorms which could trigger heavy, concentrated rainfall which could cause flooding or debris flows.
