Pierre Claeyssens ​​Veterans Foundation and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1649 invite you to join them in honoring the men and women in uniform who proudly serve their country. Get creative with us every Saturday, from 11:30 pm to 1:00 pm in the new EE Makerspace above Art From Scrap! Be inspired by our reuse materials and see where your imagination takes you.

This June & July our theme is Summer Nature Crafts. Celebrate the great outdoors and our beautiful flora and fauna by making crafts inspired by nature and its bounty. Our stations will focus on Leaf Prints, Yarn Sticks, DIY Terrariums, Crayon Resist Bugs and H2O Color, and Campfire Starters!

Your ticket includes all materials and time in the EE Makerspace.

Cost: $8.00 per person. Crafternoons are for children ages 5 and up. Please note that our workshop is upstairs and will be utilizing hot glue guns. Adults must remain in the EE Makerspace with their child.

We can’t wait to create with you!

The items at the craft fair are totally handmade and include leather handbags, etc. wood items such as kitchen utensils, bowls, handsewn items, sculptures, bird feeders, crocheted and knitted clothing, jewelry and lots more. There will also be a great bake sale. Vendors will be donating items for our raffle. Come participate in this wonderful example of handcrafted products.

Celebrate Memorial Day as Santa Monica Playhouse pays homage to Paul Robeson with film, TV and stage personality Stogie Kenyatta’s acclaimed NAACP Award-Winning solo show about the renowned African-American artist-activist. Robeson – internationally renowned actor, recording artist, concert singer, football player, All-American athlete and Phi Beta Kappa Society laureate at Rutgers University, was witness to the artistic wonders of the Harlem Renaissance and the Jazz/Be-bop era, the horrors of the slave trade, the shame of the Holocaust, McCarthyism, blacklists, racism and oppression.
