The Central and South Coasts are going to see a weather roller coaster for the next few days, starting with an increased brush fire danger, and then by the middle of next week turning into a chance of rain.
The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for 1 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday for Ventura and Los Angeles Counties. There could be gusty winds up to around 50 miles an hour. But, conditions aren't predicted to be as severe as they were two weeks ago, when there were two major brush fires in Ventura County.
Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties could also see wind, but it's expected to top at at around 30 miles an hour, also well below Red Flag Warning levels.
Then, what could be the first storm system of the season is expected to arrive on Wednesday. There could be between a half inch and an inch of rain south of Point Conception. It's not expected to be strong enough to cause problems in the region's brush fire burn zones.
