Ventura County Man Gets 18 Years To Life Sentence For 2017 Stabbing

A Ventura County man has received an 18 years to life state prison sentence after an argument turned into a fatal stabbing.

Omar Alan Tapia and Jesus Pizano got into a dispute at an Oxnard apartment complex.  Ventura County prosecutors say it ended with Tapia stabbing Pizano several times.  The victim died several days later at a hospital. 

The Oxnard man pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter for the December, 2017 killing.
