South Coast Teen Gets Arrested After Allegedly Threatening To Commit School Shooting

A teenager on the South Coast has been arrested after he was accused of threatening to commit a school shooting.

Ventura police say just after 1 pm on Friday, a school resource officer working at Buena High School was alerted to the threat made by a male student.

During an investigation, police identified the 16-year-old and found additional evidence to corroborate the threat. The teen was taken into custody and booked into Ventura County Juvenile Hall.

No one was injured. There are no continued threats to students or staff at the school.
