Work is underway to fix damaged signs at the entrance to Santa Barbara's Stearns Wharf, one of the most visited places in the city.
A vehicle went out of control and crashed into the concrete structure that displayed the Wharf's name, directly in front of the landmark dolphin fountainw
The fountain was not hit, but the right side of the wall nearby was shattered, with concrete strewn over the circular walkway.
The area was cordoned off with yellow tape, and waterfront officials say they are working to get a contractor to begin the repair efforts.
Details of the accidnet have not been made available.
