Series Of Storms Headed Towards Central, South Coasts; No Issues So Far For Brush Fire Burn Areas

Get ready for a string of storms on the Central and South Coasts. Four storms could sweep through the region between now, and the middle of next week. But, at this point it’s too early to say there could be issues in brush fire burn zones.

The first one arrives in the region Wednesday, but is only expected to mean about a half inch of rain north of Point Conception, and a quarter inch of rain south. Ventura County may end up with a few showers.

After a break Thursday, a slightly stronger storm is expected Friday night into Saturday, but it’s again expected to be well below thresholds to create concern for brush fire burn zones.

The third storm is anticipated on Sunday, and a fourth the middle of next week, but meteorologists say it’s too early to accurately size up the rainfall potential.
