Santa Barbara County firefighters say they already beefed up preparedness by calling in some state firefighters as backups on Friday.

Santa Barbara County officials say while it wasn't necessary to do a Public Safety Power Shutoff Friday, the potential for that type of precautionary action exists this weekend.
