You wouldn’t know it by the nice weather we had Tuesday, but a storm system with some of the coldest temperatures of the year is headed towards the Central and South Coasts. Light rainfall is predicted north of Point Conception Wednesday morning, spreading to the south Wednesday afternoon.
Rainfall amounts are expected to be light, in the half inch range, so there are no watches or warnings for the region’s brush fire burn zones.
However, overnight lows could dip into the 30’s in a number of areas Tuesday night, and down into the 10 to 20 degree range from some of our mountains Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Snow is possible in the mountains down to around 3000 feet Wednesday night, and possibly even as low as 1500 feet Thursday night. But the snowfall is expected to be light, in the three to four inch range.
