Pop Star Katy Perry Doing Thomas Fire Benefit At Santa Barbara Bowl

One of the world’s biggest pop music stars is returning home to the South Coast to do a benefit for Thomas Fire and flood survivors, and first responders.

Katy Perry will perform at the Santa Barbara Bowl in May.

She’s one of the best selling music artists of all time, selling more than 40 million albums worldwide since her first hit song a decade ago.

And, she’s making a big splash on TV as one of the judges of the new version of “American Idol.” Perry was born and raised in Santa Barbara, and is stepping help to help the community. Now, she’s going to headline a May 19th benefit concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl.

Tickets go on sale at the Santa Barbara Bowl box office at 11 a.m. Thursday for locals only. Tickets will only be available for people with local zip codes. They will go onsale to the general public at 7 p.m. Thursday.
