New Coronavirus Case Count On Central, South Coasts Continuing To Trend On Low Side

While we’ve been hearing about COVID-19 surges in other parts of the country, the numbers continue to remain on the low side for the Central and South Coasts.

110 new cases were reported in the region Tuesday.  Ventura County had 49, Santa Barbara County 30, and San Luis Obispo County 31.

The state updated the reopening tiers yesterday, but all three counties locally remain at the Red level.  If the counties can continue to lower the new case count and other key parameters, the next step would be to move to the Orange level.  That move would further loosen some coronavirus safety restrictions.

No additional coronavirus related deaths have been reported in the region since last week.
