National Exhibit To Honor Fallen Servicemembers Comes To South Coast

There’s a special exhibit this weekend on the South Coast that honors service men and women who lost their lives during the War On Terror.

It’s the National Remembering Our Fallen Exhibit at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley.

Gold Star mother Noala Fritz, who lost her son Jacob in 2007, is traveling with this national memorial.

"Sometimes people have a vision of soldiers are trained killers. I think when you see the exhibit you understand that's not who these kids are.  They're the girl that babysat your children. They're the boy that bagged your groceries.  They're the kids who sat down the pew from you at church. They're humans. They're people. They are our best," she said.

The exhibit features 30 tribute towers that are full color banners with both a military and a personal photo of each of the nearly 7,000 who have fallen since 9/11.

The exhibition is at the Reagan Library through Sunday.
