A small earthquake rattled parts of Southern California Friday afternoon.
The magnitude 3.0 quake hit at 12:51 p.m., and was centered about three kilometers east of Simi Valley. No injuries or damage was reported. In Thousand Oaks, some say the quake felt like a sharp jolt which lasted five to seven seconds. It was originally reported as a magnitude 3.2 quake, but was later downgraded to a 3.0.
There have been reports of people in Simi Valley, the Conejo Valley, the San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita feeling the temblor.
