A foundation has donated more than $200,000 to help veterans who are students at a South Coast university.
The Dr. Richard Grossman Burn Foundation is giving $220,000 to the Cal State Channel Islands Veterans Affair Program.
The money will support various programs and services for veterans who are students at the university. It will also support a service dog program to help student veterans with PTSD.
The foundation was founded by a famed plastic surgeon who devoted his life to helping burn victims. The Grossman Burn Center in the San Fernando Valley continues the late doctor’s legacy.
