We could see some extremely cold conditions on the Central and South Coasts Monday night and Tuesday morning, with temperatures well below freezing in a number of areas. Some inland valleys could drop below 20 degrees, and even some coastal areas could slip into the mid-20’s.
A number of freeze warnings and watches have been issued for most of the region. People are being urged to bring pets indoors at night, and to protect delicate plants from the cold. Outdoor water pipes should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.
