Firefighters Knock Down Brush Fire Which Threatened Buildings In Santa Ynez Valley

A brush fire burned about 20 acres of land in the Santa Ynez Valley Saturday afternoon, but no structures were damaged

A brush fire burned about 20 acres of land in the Santa Ynez Valley, but no strutures were damaged.

The fire started at about one p.m. Saturday in the Ballard Canyon area.  Some nearby buildings were threatened.  Santa Barbara County firefighters aided by air tankers and helicopters got the upper hand on the blaze in a little over an hour.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
