Firefighter Assigned To Woolsey Fire Seriously Injured By Passing Vehicle

A firefighter from Washington State who’s part of the team fighting the Woolsey Fire was seriously injured when he was hit by a passing vehicle.

It happened at about 11:45 Wednesday night, on Pacific View Drive just east of Point Mugu State Park.

CHP investigators say firefighter Terry Geisleman was sleeping in a field next to his parked fire truck when he was hit by a passing pickup.

It’s unclear how the pickup truck ended up in the field.  The 46 year old firefighter from Gig Harbor, Washington suffered chest and other injuries, but is expected to recover.
