Detective Gets Prison Sentence In Ventura County For Child Molestation

A longtime law enforcement officer has been sentenced to prison after entering guilty pleas to child molestation charges in Ventura County. Neil David Kimball received a three year state prison sentence.

Ventura County prosecutors say in 2017, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detective investigated the case of a 15 year old girl who reported being sexually assaulted. Prosecutors say he befriended, and later sexually assaulted the teen. In addition to the prison time, the 46 year old Agoura man will have to register as a sex offender, and pay the victim for pain and suffering
