Central, South Coast Animal Shelters Adapt Operations To Help Pets During Coronavirus Crisis

Ventura County Animal Services is now offering pet adoption services again after being suspended for several weeks due to the coronavirus crisis.  Adoptions must start through an online interview process.

Animal Services Director Jackie Rose says the shelter system has provided essential services to homeless pets throughout the crisis, even though the Simi Valley shelter had been temporarily closed, and the main Camarillo shelter has been closed to the public.

Meanwhile, Santa Barbara County Animal Services is also doing adoptions with an online process.
