Bicyclist Struck, Killed By Bus On South Coast; Police Say Bike Swerved In Front Of Bus

Authorities are investigating the death of a bicyclist who was hot by a bus on the South Coast.

Oxnard Police say a 60 year old bicyclist was struck, and killed as he was riding eastbound on Gonzales Road near Lantana Street Monday afternoon.

Investigators say a Gold Coast Transit Bus was also headed eastbound on Gonzales Road, when the Oxnard man swerved out of the bike lane, and into the path of the bus.

The name of the man wasn’t been released. The driver and three people on the bus were uninjured.
