18 Additional COVID-19 Related Deaths Reported On Central, South Coasts

While the new COVID-19 case count continues to ease on the Central and South Coasts, 18 additional deaths were reported in the region Wednesday.

Ventura County had 12 more deaths related to the virus, Santa Barbara County four and San Luis Obispo County two.  It brings the total for the Tri-Counties to 1528 since the start of the pandemic.

But, the new COVID-19 case count is low, with 196 reported for the three counties Wednesday.

San Luis Obispo County’s improved numbers have moved it into the state’s red tier, with the resumption of things like indoor dining and the reopening of movie theaters.

Ventura and Santa Barbara County numbers also continue to improve, but not enough yet for a move out of the purple tier.
